It's Party Time!

Mason's First birthday party was a success, he had a lot of fun!

You can tell by his expression- so big!

He didn't know what to think about the whole cake and candle thing
"Why am I getting all of this attention?" he wonders
Not the cake devour we expected
Very clean for the most part
He did not even finish his cupcake, oh well there's no harm in him not liking sweets!

Cake #1 (I made)
Cake #2 (I made also)
Cake #3 (I panicked and had one professionally made!) Needless to say there was enough cake.
I had girls at my party!
Grandpa- hogging the guest of honor!

Mason is ONE!

November 23rd, 2007- One year old. Hard to believe! I really believe Mason felt special today, even though he doesn't understand birthdays, he acted very happy and was in a good mood (most of the day). Here are the highlights of his first birthday.

Right after he woke up....
We said Happy Birthday!
Ready to get the day started.
First thing he saw when he came downstairs were his presents.
Of course the ribbons were the most interesting...

What's inside?

What do you call this thing? The "Bead Rollercoaster", I guess! But he liked it!

We went out shopping for a little while (had to it was Black Friday:) and we put on his "I'm 1 year old today" pin.

Well, the day is over for another year. Now I'm ready for bed after an exciting day and I'm wearing my new jammies Dad got me! If you thought today was fun, Mason, wait until your party tomorrow!!

Thanksgiving 2007

This year we actually got to have Thanksgiving dinner as a family. This was the plan last year but Mason came a little early and decided he wanted to be born on Thanksgiving. We went to Dave's Uncle John's and Aunt Edna's house.

The Bailey-Werner-Pearl Family!

Mason with his Great-Uncle John
Besides the holiday, Mason received his first birthday presents!
Not sure how to unwrap yet...
Aunt Melissa designed this "elf hat" for the boys this Christmas.

He was not exactly thrilled with the gift until we got it out of the box

This was so cute, Mason accidentally fell onto Liam's lap, which made Liam cry! They are certainly going to be rougher than that when they get bigger!

Look Who's Walking!

Mason took his first steps about 2 weeks ago, and as you will see by this (short) video he's really gotten the hang of it! Officially a toddler!

A Day at the Park

It was a beautiful November Friday and I decided to take Mason to the park. He is just starting to be big enough to enjoy the playground equipment. By next spring when its warm again, he'll be running around!

His favorite ride

In the tunnel

Loved swings since he was 6 months

Not quite big enough to go down the slide alone
Lots of fun!
